When Burma Burma , my favorite vegetarian restaurant & tea room opened its door at DLF Mall of India, Noida, I was more than happy.
The ambiance at the Noida outlet showcases art, which is being expressed well. The mandalas on wooden mats are hanging on the wall, chandeliers made of wood and glass.
Talking about the food, they serve vegetarian food. Vegan people can have their way as they prepare everything in sunflower oil, coconut oil. They use mock meat (Tofu) in most of the dishes and you cannot miss the collection of teas here. Also, every drink comes with a steel straw and not the usual paper straw which breaks down in the Drink.
We started the culinary excursion with some fresh watermelon juice and mojito. Talking about Burma Burma, time flew by and we ordered some of the starters from the menu.
~Crispy Corn: Spicy corn chaat prepared in capsicum, onion and loads of paprika. Every bite was finger-lickin’ good.
~Lotus Stem Chips: Crispy, Crunchy spicy lotus stems chips was the star. I kept on munching them, they were so very good.
~Potato Bao: The stuffed masala potato in a soft (idli like) bun added to the flavor. It was presented in a dim sum basket.
~For the main course, we opted for vegetable fried rice with tofu curry. After stuffing our tummies with good food, the server got us the dessert, Forbidden Cherry ice cream which was stuffed with chocolate mousse and was totally Instagram worthy!
One cannot end the meal at Burma Burma, without having tea from their collection of teas, we opted for a White Tea! The way the leaves are boiled to the aroma it spreads along is beyond amazing! They serve it with baked chips, pumpkin seeds along with it.
I am definitely making a trip to Burma Burma, again!
