It’s my favorite time of the year when the stores are stocked with colorful, festive wear. From family get togethers to Diwali mela’s and the most awaited Diwali parties. I just love how cheerful and bright everything gets. Dressing up for the festive season is an unspoken thing for Indians. Have a look at the top 5 Indo Western look that I have shortlisted:
- High waist slit kurti with ripped jeans
We all have kurti’s in our closet – let’s use them! Take that kurti to your tailor and get it altered into high slits to show some skin or buy it from the store directly. Wearing it with some Indian footwear or Tassels should do the trick.
2. Short Kurti with Palazzo
Short kurti’s can never go out of Fashion. I wear short kurti’s usually with jeans but this time I opted for high waist pants. They are so comfortable and make us look effortlessly gorgeous.
- Kurti/Jutti: Fabindia
3. Long Ethnic Maxi
I always wanted to wear an ethnic maxi dress and the moment I saw this dress I had to buy it. Also, I realized long Anarkali kurti’s can also be used as a dress – Utilise it! Accessorize it well and you’re good to go!
- Dress: Bombay Paisley – Westside Store
- Jutti: Toko Jutti (Insta)
4. Ethnic Crop top
I am sure about one thing that Crop top trend is not going anywhere anytime soon. They look supremely tasteful and are easily available at almost every store. Pair it with Dhoti pants, palazzo or flared skirts. I am sure it’s hard to go wrong with.
5. Colorful Bright Jacket
Wear your plain solid colored maxi dress with a bright colored jacket to get that ‘Diva’ look. The idea is to highlight your outerwear with bright bold prints which looks trendy and apt for the occasion.
- Jacket: Shein
Let me know your favorite look!
Until next time,
Have a great Diwali!
