Nagai, Gurgaon

Nagai is the new Japanese restaurant in Gurgaon, Sector 29, next to Hotel Pllazio. Named after Chef Reina Nagai, Nagai is the second branch; the first one is in Ibiza.

Ambience: It is a fine dining restaurant with two spacious floors away from the bustling sector 29 market. The décor is luxurious with a Japanese style and large contemporary Japanese art adorning the walls. The music is soft and soothing while the interiors are warm and cozy.

Food: We started our culinary journey with a glass of Red Wine.

~Tom Yum Chicken Soup: Tom Yum soup is crystal clear with a strong lemongrass flavor in it. It was well presented with noodles, veggies, and chicken in it.

~Green Apple Salad: If you are a salad person then this should be your order to start with. Loaded with green apple, walnuts, and Spinach.

~Chicken with Teriyaki Sauce Skewers: The Chicken was juicy and perfectly grilled. Every bite was ‘Delicious’! It was a clear winner!

~Sushi: The best sushi I have had in a very long time. Prepared especially using spicy chicken which was delicious! You ask your chef, he will curate a special sushi as per your taste.

~Chicken rice bowl: Sticky rice served with Chicken and veggies just like the ones you get in Bangkok.

I know I’ll be back for Green Apple salad, Sushi, and Chicken Skewers! I highly recommend this place to each and every one who enjoys ‘the pleasures of a fine table’.
