I visited Jaipur when I was a kid and then a weekend gateway on Valentine’s Day happened! It was a two-day trip wherein we explored the Pink City. If you follow me on Social Media (Instagram), you’d know how much I enjoyed in Jaipur.
We took a bus from Delhi early morning and were in Jaipur around 11.
Staycation at The Fern: We opted for the Winter Green room for our stay and it was amazing. Modern yet very simple in the design, offers comfortable stay. The room was very spacious with comfortable bed and a huge full-length closet. The washroom was spacious and well designed. There was no mini bar in the room, though. The check-in at the Fern hotel was hassle free. Well-designed room with great food! I can come here for the stay, again.
Day 1: We checked in at our hotel, relaxed for some time and then we picked up a place for lunch. Jaipur has great cafés and restaurants to eat. It was so difficult to pick a place, the list was endless.
We picked Café Lazy mojo as our first check-in and had a super delicious meal:
Food: We started with Chocolate Shake and blueberry smoothie.
Chicken Salad: Super delicious chicken salad loaded with fresh vegetables and smoked chicken with the right amount of dressing is a must try!
Chicken Tacos: Crunchy chicken tacos stuffed with grilled chicken, veggies and dip.
Chicken Roll: Soft and Juicy egg chicken roll is a treat for non Vegetarians and at a very decent price.
This place was not even one km from our hotel. This is what I wore for lunch and walk from our hotel to Café Lazy mojo!

It was already evening and almost every fort gets closed at 5 – 5:30. So, we decided to watch a movie – Jolly LLB2 at the nearby movie theatre – Cinepolis, World Trade Park.
We came back ordered some food from our hotel and slept to wake up early on time.
Day 2: We planned to visit few places and explore some markets.
So, we got up pretty early around 8 and had a sumptuous buffet breakfast and left around 12 to explore Jaipur.
Here’s how our buffet breakfast looked like:
Jaipur is a perfect tourist spot. Tourist spots we visited:
Earlier in the day, we visited Hawa Mahal which is breath-taking beautiful which captures the Royal City. The fort is constructed in Pink and is designed like beehive castle with small windows is famous for its windows also called ‘The palace of the Winds’. From Hawa Mahal you get an excellent view of the city. These windows were designed for royal ladies to view the activities happening outside because they were not allowed to appear in public during that period (1799).
Located behind Hawa Mahal, depicts great architecture and in the museum there is a display of royal clothes that the King and Queens used to wear. An interesting display would be clothes worn by Sawai Madho Singh who was 7 feet tall and weighted around 250 kgs. Taking pictures inside the museum is prohibited.
We went for some local shopping where you can buy Jutti’s, Razai – Jaipuri Razai and some traditional jewellery. You can bargain a lot as they start selling the products at a really high price.
We went back to the hotel, relaxed for some time and then left for late dinner at Replay!
Food: Food was delicious, here. I don’t have much pictures as we were famished and we hogged before I could click. We ordered North Indian: Beer, Coffee, Harissa Chicken, Butter Chicken, Naan, Masala Pappad, Pineapple Raita.
Outfit Details for Day 2: High and Low hem Dress – Vero Moda India
Day 3: We had a bus to catch at 1 pm so we decided to check out and had our brunch at Café Mutual’s.
Food: This cafe is opened in a Khothi (Lal Khothi). We ordered;
Trending Nutty Shake: Trust me this shake is a meal. A midway between a shake and a dessert, I would say. Amazing presentation and loaded with taste and calories. :p Freak shake, as they call in Delhi.
Pita and Hummus: Pita with beetroot hummus is a perfect starter to munch.
Lebanese Pizza: Thin crust pizza prepared using hummus, veggies and loads of cheese.
And, then we took a bus off to Delhi. I am surely gonna come and visit Jaipur, again. There is so much to explore – Food, good restaurants, tourist spots and what not.
Favourite Restaurant: Meraaki Kitchen – Read here
